NTA head to Las Vegas

This week sees NTA arrive at Astricon the longest-running event devoted to all-things Voip & Asterisk, one of the most influential open source telecommunication projects. Astricon has a community of more than 65,000 members, spanning more than 170 countries. The event is being held at The Red Rock Resort in Las Vegas this year and NTAs Head Developer will be attending and making a presentation.

Lefteris Zafiris head developer will representing NTA and making a presentation about combining the powers of the Go language and Asterisk in order to provide fast, reliable and hugely scalable voice applications. A brief introduction about why Go presents a big opportunity for the asterisk community, a primer into developing Fast AGI applications, demonstration of the AGI package and showing a walk through the idioms and challenges of developing in Go. The talk is focused mainly on NTAs experience of porting existing code into Go with the aim to scale its services to larger numbers accompanied with benchmarks and an introduction to some tools NTA have developed to help test, debug and benchmark AGI applications.
