O-bit Telecom’s Purple SIP Sees Demand Double in the Past Six Months

Voice and data network solutions provider O-bit Telecom has announced that its Purple SIP trunking and termination products have seen demand grow by 100 per cent in the past year. The ability to offer flexible IP solutions and cost savings to businesses of all sizes by using O-bit Purple SIP has proved popular with resellers since its launch in 2009.

O-bit says Purple SIP allows resellers to take advantage of the opportunity to build their own tailored IP solution with SIP termination providing VoIP benefits and SIP trunking (an alternative to dedicated ISDN lines) eliminating the costs associated with the purchase, support and maintennace of hardware media gateways.

“The quality of VoIP and SIP services has increased enormously over the last ten years and by not offering these kinds of products, voice resellers lose out on the opportunity to provide services relying on the LAN infrastructure of the business,” explains Dave Breith, CEO of O-bit Telecom. “We have recorded great success with Purple SIP due to the fact that our resellers benefit from the ability to guarantee recurring revenues once the equipment has been installed as well as the wide range of services SIP can deliver.”

Resellers can achieve recurring revenues from the additional services such as high bandwidth broadband services or premium and non-geographic numbers offered once the equipment has been installed. By offering equipment and service bundles in this way resellers can offer their end users flexible solutions to meet the needs of any business size.

In addition to VoIP, Purple SIP allows resellers to deliver multiple applications including videoconferencing, instant messaging and multimedia streaming. This provides costs savings as there is only one hardware platform to manage rather than multiple platforms such as a phone or broadband connection.
