Oak Scores Century in Cisco Test

Oak Telecom has achieved a 100% test score in successfully gaining an Interoperability Verification Testing (IVT) certificate from Cisco.

As well as recognising the call management and call recording specialist’s technical ability, the success also means Oak’s range of business intelligence products can now be packaged and sold with Cisco’s Unified Communications Manager solution, which is now being marketed to all business markets from enterprise down to SME.

Oak works exclusively through third party resellers and the news will be welcomed by its UK partners keen to add sophisticated call management modules to their Cisco solution sales, especially Call Recording, the demand for which is increasing rapidly.

Oak’s Joint CEO, Phillip Reynolds said: “Cisco has been a major player in the enterprise space for some time but it is now working very seriously in the SME space. We operate between the SME and larger enterprise now and we are getting enquiries for larger call reporting and call recording solutions. Acquiring the IVT certificate was therefore a major driver for us, as was our close allegiance with Cisco distributor Comstor.

“Cisco is making big waves in taking unified communications to the UK business market and with increase in demand for our added value call reporting and call recording solutions we were happy to invest a lot of time and effort in getting accredited.

“Cisco accreditation is not a walk in the park. The test procedure is quite involved and fairly complex and we wanted it across our entire CSX Comms Suite which meant the process was quite demanding. Our technical team led by our top call recording specialist Tony Gardner did a fantastic job and we passed with no failures at all. I think the reason we passed IVT with such high scores is because over the years we have invested heavily in internal test procedures and on quality assurance which is borne out by our continued ISO 9001:2008 registration also with a 100 percent score.

“This result demonstrates our technical prowess and will give our reseller partners greater confidence in marketing Oak products alongside Cisco’s Call Manager and UC500 solutions,” added Reynolds” added Reynolds.
