Olive Win Major Contracts

Olive Communications has won two major enterprise mobility contracts. Both contracts see the customer choosing to move from a direct relationship with a UK network, to using a managed service provider.

The first contract win is with same day distribution service, City Sprint. Olive was chosen to manage City Sprint’s 3,000+ connections following a period of consultancy, where Olive invested time in understanding City Sprint’s operational challenges. They then developed a tailored managed service approach, focusing on improving service delivery and producing better management information, to help control City Sprint’s costs.

Murphy has also chosen Olive to manage their mobility requirements. Murphy has just under 3,000 mobile connections and found Olive’s detailed, strategic and commercially convincing approach to total cost of ownership compelling.

Both City Sprint and Murphy were previously contracted with 02 directly, but will now switch to Vodafone, managed by Olive. The intention with both contracts is for the successful mobile implementation to act as a platform for a fully enabled unified communications roll out.

Martin Flick, Chief Executive, Olive, said: “We’re seeing a great deal of traction with major UK enterprises wanting more from their communications infrastructure, both in terms of making the commercials work, but also in terms of what a managed service provider can deliver across the board. Businesses with large numbers of mobile workers - construction and courier services like Murphy and City Sprint are great examples – can really benefit from working with unified communications experts like Olive who can often be more agile and innovative than the major networks, and offer customers a more personal and dedicated service.”
