Olympic Silver Medalist Joins Windsor Telecom In Farnham

An Olympian, who scooped a silver medal at the 1996 Olympics, is one of eleven new recruits at Farnham based telecommunications company, Windsor Telecom.

Mark Hylton from Langley near Slough, competed in the men’s 4 x 400 metre relay event at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta, Georgia, USA. His team, which included Roger Black MBE, narrowly missed out on the gold prize which went to the host nation.

Mark joins the rapidly expanding Windsor Telecom team as one of ten new customer account managers, after spending his post-Olympic years working with fellow athletes on a government mentoring scheme for disadvantaged and disaffected young people in the UK.

Mark said, “I am absolutely thrilled to be joining the team in Farnham. The enthusiasm of the company directors totally rubbed off on me at the assessment day and I am very pleased to have been given this opportunity. I have been fortunate enough to compete for my country for eight years in athletics and Windsor Telecom has now given me another challenge to hurdle!”

The other new additions to Windsor’s growing workforce, which has more than doubled since April 2008, include Natalie Patrick, Sugander Thava, Jerran Whyte, Sanjay Kotecha, and Sandra Bush who has joined as accounts assistant.

Sandra, who previously worked with Surrey Police said, “I was attracted to Windsor Telecom as it’s an expanding business which is undergoing many new and exciting developments. I was immediately struck by the friendly and relaxed atmosphere in the office when I came in for an interview and now I am really happy to be a part of the team”.

David Bennett, commercial director of Windsor Telecom said, “Our company continues to go from strength to strength. Windsor is the UK’s leading provider of memorable phone numbers and inbound call solutions and the popularity of the new 03 number range has meant that our client base has grown significantly in the last six months. In order to maintain the high standards of customer service we have set ourselves, an expansion of the team seemed the obvious and ideal solution. We only moved into our new offices last September and at this rate we could be looking for even larger premises in the very near future!”
