Opal Rebrands To TalkTalk Business

Opal, the provider of Next Generation Technology in the UK and the business-to-business division of TalkTalk Group, is to change its name from 1st February. Drawing on the strength of the TalkTalk brand, the company will be rebranded as TalkTalk Business.

The rebrand comes as the TalkTalk Group looks to capitalise on its investment of over £500m in Britain’s Next Generation Network through which it delivers a range of solutions including Data Access, Mobile, Call Handling Solutions, IP Telephone Systems, IT Networking & Security and Wholesale Business Broadband (L2TP).

“Opal has always been committed to delivering the very best ‘business grade’ products and solutions up and down the UK,” said Paul Lawton, Managing Director at Opal. “Our rebrand underscores this commitment and allows us to draw on the great reputation and awareness that the TalkTalk brand is building. For the business division this is a real sign of intent to keep growing our business.”

Since its launch in 1993, Opal has established itself at the forefront of the UK telecommunications industry providing a full range of communications products to over 200,000 business and public sector customers. It does so through its direct channel to market as well as a countrywide network of more than 350 wholesale partners.

Opal’s customers and partners have already been informed of the change in brand that will take effect from the 1st February. The company says their brand evolution will strengthen the following:

Cost efficiencies through scale: Customers will continue to be offered value for money and the ability to integrate new technology into their business at the lowest possible cost

Richer product offering: Customers will see even more IP offerings, making full use if the Group’s Next Generation Network;

Research and development: TalkTalk Business will be able to tap into the group’s renowned research and development bringing even greater innovation to business customers; and

Brand Awareness: The TalkTalk name will provide Opal with a better brand platform ,

Talktalk Business will retain its complete focus on business customers and partners, bringing them the UK’s largest all IP network backed by UK-based call centres.
