Orange and 7,000 festival goers get into Guinness World Records

The Guinness World Records have confirmed that Glastonbury Festival's 2010 communications partner, Orange, has succeeded in setting the new world record for the Most People Tagged in an Online Photo.

The photograph, which was taken to celebrate the festival's 40th anniversary, took place at the famous Pyramid Stage during half time in the England vs Slovenia World Cup match on the first day of the event.

MC'd on the day by beatboxer Kila Kela, over 70,000 festival goers were captured on a 1300 megapixel super high-resolution photograph. After the festival, they were then able to zoom into the picture, tag themselves, find friends and reconnect with people they met during the match.

Since the picture went live on the 29 June, and up to 7 September when the record was captured, an amazing 7,053 people (and counting) have tagged themselves through Facebook.
