Orange announces enhancements to Mobile Forms

Networks & Network Services
Orange has announced the launch of additional features that will allow its customers to send information on the move from wherever they are. Customers who subscribe to the operator’s Mobile Forms can now customise the package and make it their own solution.

For example, surveyors working remotely that need to prove the state of a building or road can now take a photograph with the camera on their device, attach it to a form and send back the evidence. The system works in the same way with GPS tracking, by logging the position of the device and sending it back to the office.

Microsoft Word and Excel documents can be attached to the forms, as well as voice recordings, to ensure businesses are able to offer on the spot services without having to go back to base. There is also an option to customise the forms with company logos, so they can be delivered in exactly the same format as documents sent directly from the office. Each feature is available for an additional £5.

Anthony Keyworth, director of business products, Orange UK, stated: “We’re constantly seeing a demand for greater flexibility. There is no reason why mobile workers can’t expect the same level of technology and functionality as those in an office based environment. These new additions to Mobile Forms allow greater flexibility and efficiency; and ultimately, a more tailored and individual service.”

Mobile Forms is a simple, internet based service that enables mobile workers to operate in a paperless environment. They can create and use forms on mobile devices that are sent back to the office in real time, resulting in time and efficiency improvements. They do not require any integration with customers’ IT systems, meaning users can be up and running within 48 hours of registration.
