Overline Beaming with Green Pride

On a wet and windy December day in Angmering, a small ray of light in the business world could be seen as Overline, the Lancing based business telecoms company collected 15 brand new BMW’s from Sussex based BMW dealer, Chandlers.

The deal, worth over £300,000 is a boost to the local economy and keeps business local.

The switch to BMW’s by Overline is a large step in the company’s bid to reduce their carbon footprint. The new 3 Series cars use BMW’s Efficient Dynamics engines, which offer massively, reduced CO2 emissions. Sales Director Jason Young said “We have been taking large steps to reduce our carbon footprint by using the technology we sell to conduct conference calls and webinars where possible. However for some meetings it is essential that our staff visit a customer’s site. By getting there in a fuel efficient car, we are reducing the effect that our travel has on the environment.”

Tina Tilly, CEO of the Worthing Chamber of Commerce said “It’s great to see local companies are working together to help achieve a cleaner environment for us all to work in and keeping the business local.”

John Luck from Chandlers BMW in Angmering said “Usually we don’t do things by halves, but last year BMW Group accounted for 48% of the total CO2 reduction by the industry, providing a sensible compelling argument for both Overline and their employees.”
