Panasonic Launches New Telephony Terminals

Panasonic has launched a new range of SIP telephones which will accelerate demand for the flexible connectivity protocol – and further fuel growth in unified communications – according to Nimans.

The distributor has taken delivery of a new range of stylish handsets which cater for all client requirements, from standard phones and office devices through to executive and touchscreen terminals. Six models are available, boasting advanced technology and features that are ideally suited to enhance UC adoption, such as the KX-UT 670 Smart Desktop Phone that includes impressive high end features such as a seven inch touchscreen display and intuitive interface.

The KX-UT series complements Panasonic’s new NS1000, SIP-based unified comms platform that is based on mobility, collaboration, applications and multi-site functionality – one solution for business growth. It has a capacity of up to 640 IP extensions and 256 SIP trunks.

Nimans’ Head of Handset Sales, Ian Brindle, says the latest innovations will further expand the growing influence of SIP as a viable alternative to ISDN.

He pointed out: “The new Panasonic technology has been designed to enhance personal communication through HD quality audio and easy access to powerful supportive features and applications, benefiting from easy installation and configuration. They represent another impressive step forward as SIP terminals continue to increase market share, further driving adoption of modern internet-based communication and more general UC trends.”
