Panasonic Updates KX-TDE600 High End PBX Platform

Panasonic has announced a significant update to their highest capacity PBX solution, the KX-TDE600 family. The update offers new and existing customers access to a range of new hardware accessory products, as well as introducing a range of enhanced software features. The enhancements, developed in response to market demands, are intended to maximise customers’ return on investment and increase business efficiency.

In recognition of the ongoing trend towards IP based telephone extensions, Panasonic has doubled the number of IP-PT terminals that can be used on the base TDE600 system, while the increasing demand for high quality wireless handsets is met through support for brand new Panasonic wireless handsets, in the form of the KX-TCA175 and KX-TCA275 colour DECT terminals.

A number of other enhancements have been made following consultation with the customer base; since the TDE600 is aimed at medium to large organisations, often distributed across multiple sites, the new v.3 TDE software introduces the ability to configure common extension numbering across two or more PBXs, simplifying the corporate numbering scheme. Large sites will also benefit from significant improvements to the wireless DECT solutions, with support for new high density IP Cell Stations.

Many organisations today rely increasingly on mobile phones to support business activities, and improvements have been made to strengthen the integration between PBX and mobile phone systems; in addition to setting up a mobile phone as a PBX extension, TDE600 will now provide Caller Line ID information, ensuring the customers can always call back the correct number, even when the caller is not at their desk. Support for workers on the move has never been better.

However, it’s not only about the end user. There are improvements for installers and engineers too. IP Proprietary extensions can now be configured using a simple list of MAC addresses – there is no need for the physical hardware to be present on site when the devices are setup. The upshot is that it’s now much easier for a single engineer to configure a new installation remotely. Previously, an install may have required two engineers, one remote and one local. The new simplified IP-PT ‘easy registration’ system makes it possible to carry out registration alone.

Improvements to the Music on Hold system, enhancements to the way that DECT systems interact with CTI applications and better call handling flexibility with Mobile Phones, all make for a more pleasant experience for the caller, and improved control of the system for staff.

The KX-TDE600 systems support the range of KX-NT300 Series IP telephones and the KX-DT300 digital telephones that are stylish, intuitive, and easy to use. The telephone range offers superb voice quality, easy to read displays, and electronic self labelling keys. A Bluetooth module provides wireless headset support, and terminals offer an easy navigation key and double tilt feature allowing independent tilt control for phone base and LCD display, all to provide you with enhanced desktop usability and comfort.

The updated KX-TDE600 system from Panasonic is the ideal platform for business customers to solve their unified communication needs, while helping to improve business efficiency and maximise customer satisfaction.
