As a Telefónica m2m Authorised Distributor, Pangea recently took part in the annual #O2BizRugby tournament at none other than the home of English rugby, Twickenham stadium.
And after a spectacular run of going undefeated in five rounds of intensive—and highly competitive—Touch Rugby, Pangea claimed the trophy with a nail biting win against DHL in the final!
As a Telefónica m2m Authorised Distributor, Pangea work closely with Telefónica to provide their partners with managed connectivity that has global coverage, bespoke pricing, and ultimate flexibility when it comes to tailoring tariffs to compliment their IoT solutions.
With the majority of their Touch Rugby team originating from South Africa and harbouring a strong passion for the game, Pangea were beyond excited to be given the opportunity to take part. Even more so, we were delighted to raise money for one of O2’s charity partners – the NSPCC as a result of the event.
“I’ve had the privilege of playing at a few famous grounds such as Newlands in Cape Town and Welford Road in Leicester.” said Dan Cunliffe, Managing Director of Pangea, “However, having the chance to play at Twickenham was just brilliant, and winning the tournament when up against 19 other top corporate teams was totally unexpected. Now to defend the title next year!”
