Partnership Cornerstone of Micro P Plans for Growing Comms Market Share

NEC has today signed a distribution agreement with Micro P that will see the value-add distributor bring its range of PBX and telephone systems to market.

“With the NEC range of XN120 and SV8100 products and applications such as the MyCalls suite and Unified Communications for Business (UCB) growing in market share, Micro-P is an ideal distribution partner to fulfil customer requirements,” said Andrew Cooper, Sales Director, NEC.

“Micro P is an established distributor with excellent logistics and great expertise in IT and data products. With Micro-P already having NEC data products in their portfolio it made sense for them to expand the range to include telecoms,” he added.

Data specialist Micro P want to intensify their presence in the telecoms market and by signing with major telecoms vendor, NEC it will expand the existing portfolio and commits to growing it further to fulfil customer requirements.

“NEC is well-known for its product innovation, reliable products and undoubted leadership in voice and data convergence. Working with NEC will be a major keystone of our comms division,” said Gerry O’Keeffe, Managing Director at Micro P. “There is a lot of synergy between the companies and NEC will be an integral part of our business moving forward. This is another piece of the jigsaw in binging IT and voice products together in our portfolio.

“Our key aim is to grow our comms business. Micro P has a tremendous amount of experience in IT, with a plethora of resellers and a matching portfolio of products. But we want to take voice as well as data products to the market with a view to achieving the converged solution that everyone’s moving towards,” added Paul Bryan, Sales Director “We are investing in training our people, developing a good strong business unit and offering the best support possible for our resellers.”
