Peach Telecom Acquires Harmony Solutions Fixed Line Business

Peach Telecom Ltd has completed its first acquisition of the financial year by taking over the fixed line and voice services of some 130 customers from Southampton-based communications company Harmony Solutions Ltd.

The deal, worth an estimated £450,000 to Peach over the next 24 months, will see customers transfer to the Hampshire-based fixed line communications provider.

Peach Telecom Chairman Darren Scott-Healey said “the deal with Harmony is evidence of the company's strategy to strengthen itself through acquisitions. This goes hand in hand with the rapid organic growth that Peach has enjoyed throughout the last 18 months”.

Peach Managing Director John Fitzpatrick made comment “We have been able to conclude the deal with Harmony swiftly and we have already integrated the customer care and billing elements with ease. Our aim is to have the remaining integration essentials of the Harmony customers successfully completed within a matter of weeks."

Customers will continue to enjoy the same high standard of care and provision they had received from Harmony. However as Peach specialise in providing communications to the small-medium sized enterprises, they will now be able to take advantage of an improved service and access to a wider product portfolio".

Harmony Managing Director Bryan Spottiswood has paid tribute to the Peach team that made the acquisition possible. "I have worked closely with some key people at Peach and the manner in which they have dealt with the company has been admirable and professional.

Harmony will continue to resell fixed line business as well as focusing on the supply of telephone systems along with further developing Harmony with the capital raised via the acquisition of the customers by Peach.
