Pennine Telecom Partners with Star to Provide Connectivity Solutions

Star, a provider of on-demand computing and communication services for UK businesses has been chosen by Pennine Telecom to supply a range of data connectivity and cloud application services to its customers. Pennine Telecom, a well established provider of voice and data communications solutions, went to tender to choose a new supplier of remote data connectivity services. They selected Star based on a mixture of criteria including a similar business ethos, commercial flexibility and a proven business model.

The Bury based reseller will incorporate the NetStarIP MPLS solution and Star Business Email services into its portfolio of services to offer alongside its range of voice and data solutions.
According to Geoff King, Product and Sales Director at Pennine Telecom, “We selected Star as our partner of choice having carefully evaluated the alternatives. We were particularly impressed with Star’s willingness to co-operate with us to develop new business through sales and marketing initiatives and their openness to work with us to provide our customers with flexible solutions that adapt to their changing business needs.”

Amanda King, Regional Channel Manager at Star added, “Pennine are a well known and established business with an impressive customer base of leading brands. Given the rigorous selection process they applied to choosing their connectivity service partner, we are delighted to have been chosen to work with them. Pennine has an excellent reputation and have acquired a large number of customers over the 33 years the business has been in operation. We are working proactively with them to help generate new business opportunities for their combined portfolio of voice and data services which offer customers a solution which takes care of all of their communications requirements. In addition to this, Pennine now also has access to Star’s cloud computing platform, and so is able to securely deliver applications to customers from 3 UK data centres over an integrated MPLS network.”
