Pescado moves into Chester as it dials up expansion plans

Business communications specialist Pescado has moved to new offices in Chester.

The company has taken 3,000sq ft of office space in Poplar House, Park West – doubling the space it previously occupied at the Rossmore Business Park, Ellesmere Port.

The move forms part of a three-year plan to increase turnover from £4million to £10million and grow its workforce to 45.

The company, which provides businesses with telecoms, IT and cloud and hosted services, currently employs 25 people in Chester and a further seven in Basildon, Essex.

Pescado includes large corporates and SMEs among its client base, with names including JP Morgan Asset Wealth, Lexmark Europe, Dickies Workwear, Yale, John Dennis Coachbuilders and Calypso Soft Drinks.

Founded by directors Fraser Watson and Jonathon Weeks in 2006, Pescado also recently hired Andy Murphy as IT director of Pescado Hosted, its IT and technology business.

Managing Director Fraser Watson said: “The move to new offices in Chester gives us the space we need to achieve our ambitious growth plans. Our office will also act as a showroom because we will be using the very best business communications to ensure the highest level of service and client care to our customers.

“We can provide our clients with the right strategy and technology to precisely meet their business needs.

“We believe we have a unique offering in being able to make a business’s technology work seamlessly from their office server right through to their mobile handsets.

“To continue to exceed the demands of our clients, we also need to recruit and we hope that our new location in Chester will prove attractive to potential applicants.”

Pescado offers business arrangements with all major networks. This year the company was awarded Vodafone’s Gold Partner of the Year as well as holding accolades from o2 and T-mobile. Pescado is also a registered Microsoft Partner.
