PointSolutions Launches PeoplePoint365

IT
PointSolutions has launched a cloud version of its popular SharePoint HR software designed for Microsoft Office365 environments, offering a dramatic improvement in usability.

Based on extensive customer profiling and usability testing, the new version is hosted within the Microsoft Azure Cloud and allows simpler administration of key features such as expenses management, holiday and absence management and processing, coupled with a whole host of additional features.

“We have built and tested the new user interface in partnership with a number of customers and external HR specialists that have reported it allows them to complete tasks around a third faster than the previous UI,” explains Dave Bailey, Marketing Director for PointSolutions, “From a technical standpoint, the system sits inside the Azure Cloud environment and communicates with O365 this way, ensuring that the system won’t break each time Microsoft push-out a release, which is roughly every two weeks.”

The modular solution is built around a simple, clean user interface that makes the system easy to use and administer, and includes a flexible pricing model so customers only pay for the elements they need. PeoplePoint365 includes integrated recruitment, on-boarding and LMS options supporting strategic talent management and workforce planning. The system also utilises self-service portals to empower staff and automate many time consuming manual processes.

One of the partners that provided extensive feedback during the BETA trials was Rebecca Fielding, Managing Director of Gradconsult Ltd, an independent specialist graduate employment coaching and consultancy business. Fielding was previously People Development Manager (PT) at Sheffield Hallam University and has also held senior internal HR roles at Heinz and Asda, “The key benefits of the updated user interface are focused on improved efficiencies,” says Fielding, “PointSolutions have worked with professionals to design their user home screen. Employees and line managers can now quickly see and access exactly what they need, all in one easy to use screen.”

“It’s been designed to look and feel more like a well-designed website. It’s a far cry from the clunky, awkward and difficult to use HR systems experiences of the past.” Fielding adds.

“For organisations making a switch to flexible cloud based solutions, the new update provides a simple transition path that offers agility while enabling the business to realise a rapid ROI.” comments Bailey, “We have been delivering SharePoint solutions for over 12 years and the new client centric approach to interface design is based on great feedback we have had from a number of clients including Rolls-Royce, Sky and RSA.”
