A replacement for the previous SoundStation Premier for Avaya, Polycom say the SoundStation2 for Avaya delivers dramatically improved quality, performance and value and offers a direct connection into the digital wall jack, eliminating the need for additional connectors, adapters and analog line cards. The SoundStation2 for Avaya is co-branded and will be sold through both Polycom and Avaya channels (marketed as Avaya 2490 through Avaya and its channel partners.)
The SoundStation2 is the latest addition to the triangular-shaped SoundStation conference phones from Polycom. It provides the ability to talk up to ten feet away in a normal voice and still be heard clearly and adds new features including a backlit LCD display for easy use of phone applications, international Caller-ID, an address book for speed dialing, a cell phone connector, and an optional Computer Calling Kit for use with internet calling applications and soft phones.
