Polycom Targets UC Growth with Key Appointments

Polycom has announced the appointment of three new executives to join its EMEA team. Paul Louden, Glenn Bungay and Ian Holloway’s key responsibilities will be to capitalise on the growth of the Unified Communications market in EMEA and drive Polycom’s share through identification of trends, opportunities and customer needs.

With, according to Polycom, around 15 per cent of U.K. businesses using some form of videoconferencing and a significant rise in annual revenues in the video-conferencing sector, Polycom’s vision is to continue to lead in this market with its unified communications strategy.

Paul Louden has been appointed as Polycom’s U.K and Ireland VP of Sales. He is responsible for driving significant growth of its business collaboration solutions, encompassing voice and video, in the U.K. and Ireland. He is also responsible for building and enabling a strong channel to significantly grow revenues by developing local routes to market and driving Polycom’s global alliances strategy. Prior to his role at Polycom, Paul was UKI & RSA SMB Country Manager at Avaya, and prior to that he held a number of senior management positions at Orange, Cable & Wireless and T Mobile.

Glenn Bungay has been appointed as Polycom’s EMEA sales service director. He is responsible for leading Polycom’s EMEA services sales team and is focused on providing Polycom customers and partners with industry leading service and support programs required to remain competitive and to drive customer satisfaction. Glenn spent 10 years at TANDBERG prior to joining Polycom where he was instrumental in developing service strategies throughout EMEA.

Ian Holloway has been appointed as VP of global accounts EMEA. He is responsible for a select number of Polycom’s key global customers working alongside Polycom’s global alliances and VARs, to ensure the delivery of integrated, effective and ROI driven technology. Ian has been in the industry for over 25 years working for companies such as Cable and Wireless, Siemens and Avaya, with experience spanning in sales, services and channel roles.
