“We had a massive response to launch events with more than 60 resellers attending one seminar in Manchester for example. Interest has been huge and the feedback is very encouraging,” said Sarah Linnett, Avaya Business Manager at Nimans.
The new version is based on software which simplifies unified communications and customer service by delivering a range of advanced capabilities to improve the scalability, resilience and productivity of modern businesses.
Sarah explained: “To make communications easy for SME’s, Avaya IP Office is now offered in six role-based solutions such as tele-worker, mobile worker, and customer service agent – each designed to meet specific needs. Using this approach, small businesses no longer have to pick from a multitude of application options, removing the complexity of choosing the right communications solution. This makes selling the product easier for resellers as they can better tailor solutions for individual customer requirements - producing more compelling and higher impact results.”
In a further development Avaya has also streamlined IP Office by consolidating multiple hardware options down to a single, higher-capacity hardware platform. It now supports 384 users per system, up from 272, extending the scalability and usefulness of an IP Office system as a business grows. Additionally, conferencing capacity has been doubled from one to two 64-party bridges.
Sarah concluded: “IP Office has long been established as the benchmark for innovative, modular and cost effective IP communications, based on a simple to operate flexible platform. These additional features have quickly captured channel interest, taking IP Office to new levels of user friendliness and powerful market leading features.”
