Poynt Corporation announced the Company has integrated restaurant reservation services LaFourchette and ElTenedor into the restaurant section of the Poynt mobile local search and advertising platform. The new service provides the ability for users in France and Spain to see ratings, read reviews and book restaurant reservations. Poynt users will also benefit from offers of up 50% discount in some establishments.
Poynt is a timesaving GPS-enabled mobile local search platform that connects consumers with local businesses, restaurants, people and movies at the moment they are looking to buy or acquire products or services. Poynt provides consumers with the ability to move beyond discovery of their local area to view movie trailers and reviews, click-to-call businesses, get directions and browse listing websites. LaFourchette and ElTenedor integration now allows Poynt users to read reviews and book dining reservations, then get directions from their location to the restaurant and add their reservation to their mobile phone calendar.
LaFourchette provides restaurant bookings at over 6000 restaurants in France while ElTenedor offers over 4500 different restaurant booking options. To date, over 6 million collective reservations have been made through these booking services. Both LaFourchette and ElTenedor will also offer restaurant promotions to Poynt users in these geographies.
“The ability to book a reservation directly in Poynt has been extremely popular in North America and the United Kingdom, we are happy to be able to expand this service to our French and Spanish users,” said Andrew Osis, CEO, Poynt Corp. “Popular features such as table booking not only make our users’ lives more streamlined, they help drive revenue as they result in high user retention rates.”
“With the huge uptake of smartphones, mobile is becoming an increasingly important part of our business as more people are choosing and booking restaurants on the move,” comments Cedric Portella, Partnership Director of LaFourchette. “Poynt is a successful mobile app, with a growing user base in France and Spain, hence we look forward to providing Poynt users our comprehensive restaurant content and booking functionality in those countries.”
