Pure Founder wins Entrepreneur of the Year at Sussex Business Awards 2007/08

Darren Fell, founder of UK email marketing company Pure was named Entrepreneur of the Year at the Sussex Business Awards 2007/08.

In one of the most contested categories, Darren saw off competition from two other finalists to take the prestigious title.

Darren founded Pure six years ago, which now has a team of 43. Its customer base has grown to 720 across three divisions: Small Business, Agency and Major Accounts. innocent drinks, EMAP, the Financial Times and Rightmove are clients.

“I am elated, this is the award to win,” said Darren Fell. “Building Pure has been challenging and rewarding and I am about to do it all again - the accolade has come at a perfect time as I am currently working on my new venture, www.crunch.co.uk, which will launch in May 2008.”

Pure picked up Best Business (employing under 25 people) at last year’s Sussex Business Awards ceremony, and the company has since doubled in size.

Pure was also named one of the top 50 fastest growing new media companies in the UK at the Media Momentum awards 2007.
