Pyjama Party for Children in Need

Staff at a Midlands reseller will enjoy extra time in bed on 14th November as they are coming to work in their pyjamas and slippers to raise money for Children In Need.

Bosses at The Infinity Group based in Hamilton, Leicester have invited staff to donate £1 to the charity in order to spend the whole day in their best nightwear. But they have warned that falling asleep at desks is forbidden and will charge a further £1 toward the collection if anyone is caught napping.

The company is running a series of events on Children in Need day - including a sponsored ‘trampoline bounce-off’, Tombola, cake sale and Pudsey scratch card game. Staff have already started raising money with a Pudsey coin collection, which involves filling a big outline of Pudsey Bear with copper coins – a challenge for staff to donate their spare change and make as much as they can for the charity.

Sponsored ‘trampoline bounce-off’: Volunteers will take part in an aerial spectacular and given half an hour to do as many jumps as they possibly can. There will be two ways to raise sponsorship money 1. by getting sponsored per jump or 2. collecting a total amount for the time spent on the trampoline.

Simon Thakor, CEO said, “Staff who take part in any of the sponsored events have been challenged to raise a minimum of £50 each. I am confident that everyone will enter into the spirit of what we are doing and it will be a fantastic, fun day that will help make a difference to disadvantaged children.”

Last year, Infinity raised £3000 by holding a raffle and in 2006, a number of brave male staff at had their legs waxed.
