QuesCom Solves CallManager Fax Problems

QuesCom, a technology supplier of mobility solutions for GSM mobile phone integration has announced its cooperation with Kapsch BusinessCom.

"What was missing for the Cisco Communcations Manager is a stable and cost efficient fax solution. With the Quescom Fax Appliance incl. GSM and SMS Gateway we can now offer this effortlessly via Fax-over-IP directly connected with a Cisco Communications Manager.", says product manager Alexander Hautzmayer of Kapsch BusinessCom.

"Using the Cisco certified QuesCom Appliance, customers with a small budget can now also make use of a simple faxserver with fax-to-mail and mail-to-fax from MS Office. Perfect for medium sized companies or locations.”

Cisco Partners can now offer a bundle of appliances with QuesCom Fax-IP Appliance and Unity Connection Voicemail. Jörg Richter, Comstor Sales Director: "Resellers can now offer all Unified Communication applications with pre-installed appliances and do not need to install any software on PC servers, even CTI via TAPI is included. A 25-User licence is available from 29 Euro per user and the basic appliance comes at 1.890,- Euro list price incl. 4 ports of fax. Plug & Fax. Perfect for all endusers who need a low-cost faxserver, no matter whether ISDN or via IP.”

Andrew Han, Channel Manager QuesCom, confirms: “Users can now easily send faxes digitally and receive them by e-mail. Especially where lots of paper is used, like in a purchasing division or at the legal department now documents can be processed electronically. That reduces paper and ink, and faxes can easily be stored in the e-mail inbox and be found again. It just saves time! Additionally with the same appliance 80% of the phone costs can be reduced – without having to invest more.”

Fax is only one of the integrated components of a QuesCom appliance. Others are One-Number solutions for voice and fax, making cheaper phone calls and GSM phone integration into PBXs.
