Mitel has appointed Rami Houbby to lead the cloud sales team for Mitel where he will be focused on accelerating the growth of Mitel’s cloud business and supporting customers as they transition to the cloud.
Rami is well-established in the cloud communications market. He brings 25 years of experience to his role at Mitel, having worked on the cutting edge of communications for enterprises and homes since the 1990s, when he began building high-speed fibre networks for 3Com and Allied Telesis. Rami joins most recently from Broadsoft where as Vice President of Cloud (EMEA) he developed a business strategy and plan to scale their UCaaS business and helped to champion and establish a cloud sales culture in the region prior to the company being acquired. Before that, as the founding Managing Director of the UK subsidiary of the German group NFON AG, he built a strong channel-led cloud communications provider business, growing the company into one of the leading players in the market in just under four years.
