Internet and IT services provider, Redstone Managed Solutions, an operating division of Redstone plc, has launched an online data back-up solution as an alternative to traditional tape-based back-up. The fully automated service, redvault, provides disk-to-disk data back-up over standard Internet connections for servers, desktop PCs and laptops.
The company says the flexibility of redvault enables back-up requirements to change with a company’s needs without the capital investment and manpower overheads of traditional tape back-up systems.
“We already have a number of customers using redvault with great success,” said Tariq Saied, managing director, Redstone Managed Solutions.
“Security, protection, integrity and availability of business critical data are vitally important issues for all IT departments. Not only does redvault offer organisations confidence in their business continuity strategy by enabling reliable data back-ups and restoration, but it is also a more cost effective solution than traditional tape back-up.”
