Redwood joins Atlas Cloud

Atlas Cloud has appointed Nigel Redwood as Non-Executive Chairman. The former CEO of Nasstar joins the company with 17 years’ board level experience leading managed service providers of Desktop-as-a-Service and Hosted Desktop solutions.

Redwood left Nasstar in 2020 following its acquisition by GCI to pursue a role which fosters a longer term vision. As Chairman, Redwood will use his vast industry experience to mentor Atlas Cloud’s leadership in fulfilling the company’s five-year business plan. He will work closely with its experienced CEO, Pete Watson and senior team to offer expertise for delivering upon strategic objectives in key target markets.

His appointment further strengthens Atlas Cloud’s board following the appointment of its first Chief Financial Officer, Michael Conn in late 2019. The news also follows shortly after the company secured £2m investment in March to continue developing its product offering and support its growth ambitions.

“Atlas Cloud is at an extremely exciting time in its story that resonates strongly with my own industry experience,” Redwood commented. “The chance to work closely with a team that shares the same ethos to a company we started 20 years ago is a great opportunity for me on a personal level. I believe that the next five years in this industry will be very interesting and it is a privilege to support the team in both fulfilling and exceeding its ambitious business plan in these times.”

“We are all delighted to be working with Nigel as we officially welcome him as our new Chairman to the board. He has a great breadth and depth of experience in the DaaS space, plus a strong track record in leading fast-growing managed cloud service providers. We look forward to having him on board to help us accelerate our growth plan as the market looks set to grow considerably following recent events,” Pete Watson, CEO, Atlas Cloud commented.
