Jabra has announced the appointment of René Svendsen-Tune as CEO of GN Netcom and member of GN Store Nord’s executive management team, effective as of April 1, 2015. René Svendsen-Tune replaces Niels Svenningsen, who has decided to resign as CEO of GN Netcom (Jabra) for family reasons. René Svendsen-Tune is consequently stepping down from the board of directors with immediate effect.
“We are sad to see Niels leave as he made great contributions to the company during his tenure. Niels secured a strong launch of our new and very unique products and positioned the company well for even stronger results in the future”, GN Store Nord Chairman Per Wold-Olsen says. “As Niels is leaving I am very pleased to see René being able and willing to accept the job as CEO of GN Netcom. René is finishing his assignment as president in Nokia Networks at the end of March and can go straight into this leadership position at GN Netcom. To have such an experienced professional as René with detailed knowledge of GN Netcom take over the leadership at this time will indeed secure continued smooth operations and continued flawless execution of our 2014 – 2016 strategy.”
René joins GN Netcom from a position as president and member of the executive board at Nokia Networks with responsibility for Europe and Latin America. Before that René was president and CEO of Teleca. René has significant understanding and insight into the business of GN Store Nord where he has served as a valued board member since 2007.
