Resellers from across the country gained a valuable knowledge boost from NEC and Nimans – by going ‘back to the classroom’ to learn about the acclaimed SL1100 comms platform.
A free technical open day was held at NEC’s Nottingham headquarters, designed specifically for engineers to boost their confidence and installation techniques.
They took advantage of a technical overview involving product demonstrations and engineering requirements, as well as enjoying a guided tour of NEC’s headquarters – part of a close working relationship between the manufacturer, distributor and its customer base.
“They’d heard the hype, had the sales pitch, and wanted to know if the SL1100 was as easy to install as we said,” commented Paul Burn, Head of System Sales at Nimans.
“The course was aimed at both current and non NEC customers and everyone left feeling very positive. We wanted to build on the easy to install, easy to maintain messaging around the SL1100 and the day was a resounding success.”
His positive comments were endorsed by a Sheffield-based dealer who commented afterwards: “The live product demonstrations blew my socks off. We are about to start selling the SL1100 so a course like this is a very valuable way to put us on the road to success. It was a thoroughly worthwhile experience.”
