Anthony Gold, a leading South Bank law firm with a national reputation, has adopted a multi-site IP telecommunications solution from OPUS Business Systems – a leading Inter-Tel reseller. The new telecoms installation has helped to solve Anthony Gold’s business pressures of improving business process and cutting costs.
Founded in 1963, Anthony Gold has grown into a highly regarded, modern and progressive law firm. But its success was having an impact on the bottom line. The cost of running three different phone systems at its London Bridge, Streatham and Walworth offices, together with the expense of making calls between sites resulted in astronomical bills.
To identify how Anthony Gold could reduce costs, OPUS undertook a detailed review of the solicitor’s technical requirements. A single centralised solution was needed to enable Anthony Gold to maintain, programme and configure its communications platform from one site.
Inter-Tel recommended the use of Windows Operated Consoles (WOCs), running on the award-winning Axxess platform and both digital and IP keysets. By adopting the WOCs, calls are answered by just one reception desk for all three branches rather than a receptionist at each site. Calls can now also be made between sites using the IP connection, which makes them effectively free.
Philip Mulley, IT manager for Anthony Gold, comments on the success of the implementation: “Within less than ten working days OPUS had installed a flexible and scalable solution across the three sites without any down time or disruption to our 100 staff. We can now extend the solution to meet any more demands our growth has on the business.”
Philip continues: “Since its installation we have noticed significant improvements across the business. Not only have inter-site call costs plummeted, but staff productivity has increased thanks to the streamlined and reliable technology. We are delighted the solution has had such an immediate impact on our business.”
