Last week saw Eclipse hold their Fastest 4 Incentive at Bedford Autodrome. Twelve resellers made the criteria and got ready for a day of speed and smoking tyres.
Pete Tomlinson, Director of Product, Sales & Marketing at Eclipse, said “Our Channel has been growing really quickly over the last two years and today we wanted to do two things. We wanted to say thank you to our Channel partners and Palmers is the best place to do that. Eclipse has traditionally been known as a broadband ISP and doing these sorts of things helps resellers realise there is more to us than that. We have the network managed services, the hosted side of the business and the faster connectivity services too, so today is also about getting that message across.
We wanted to incentivise Channel partners to go out of their comfort zone and the promotion has been successful in doing that. If you look at the four fastest connectivity products that we have run over the course of the incentive we have seen about a 35% uplift in sales of those services.
We want this to become an annual Channel event so our resellers get to this time of year and want to blast around a track in an M3, or an Atom.”
Lee Donaghey, Director at Onetek Business Solutions commented “We have been building a relationship with Eclipse for a while and as they are moving towards Ethernet we are starting to install more Ethernet for our customers and also wireless internet provisioning.
The most important thing for me was to come down and see the guys and get to know them. It’s good to get to know the team and you can really develop those relationships. Today is going to be a bit of a laugh but tonight will be great too when we can all socialise over a few drinks. When you meet people face to face they have more of a vested interest in you and then I’ll want to do more business through them.”
