Retell Goes Mobile

Retell the UK call recording manufacturer has announced new fixed mobile convergence capabilities which are now available to users of its Sense Recording Systems. This allows mobile and fixed line recording to all be integrated into one single, secure system.

This has been achieved by partnering with Voxsmart, the provider of mobile call recording solutions and a BlackBerry Alliance Select member. The Voxsmart solution acts like middleware, securely linking together the mobile network, the smartphone, the BlackBerry Enterprise Server and the Retell recording system.

Sense can be used to securely record both mobiles and landlines as a fully convergent system that is simple to deploy, easy to manage and highly cost effective. The total cost of ownership of this new Retell solution is considerably less expensive than many PBX call-back recording solutions.

Retell’s MD Richard Herman commented, “Retell recognises that our customer’s working patterns are changing and that we need to serve them with recording on both landlines and mobiles, with all recordings easily accessible from within Retell’s Sense interface. Whether recording is for remote working, continuity planning, FSA compliance or for faster dispute resolution, Retell now offers the same protection on recorded mobiles as we already provide on recorded landlines.”

Retell says their new solution is ground breaking. “It does not require customers to buy or rent any new hardware beyond the Sense recorder, there is no charge for call minutes beyond standard mobile carrier costs and all recordings stay safely within the customer’s own IT security perimeter. This adds up to a highly cost effective, secure, simple way of recording mobiles alongside landlines, all on the same system.”
