ScanSource, Inc. has named Richard Gregoire Vice President of Sales of the company’s European POS & Barcoding business unit. Mr Gregoire formerly served as Sales Director Southern Europe for the unit.
Mr Gregoire has worked at ScanSource Europe for ten years where he has been instrumental in the success of ScanSource’s European operations, which were launched in 2002. He brings close to 20 years of experience of sales in technology industry to this position.
As Vice President of Sales, Mr Gregoire will manage the strategic growth and development of the company’s sales and business development efforts, including cultivating and strengthening customer relationships and working closely with reseller partners to assist them in growing their business. He will report to recently appointed ScanSource Europe POS & Barcoding Managing Director Maurice van Rijn.
“Richard has been an integral part of the ScanSource team,” said Mr van Rijn. “He’s always looking for new opportunities to help our customers expand their business with our vendor partners, delivering year-on-year advancements in terms of customer on-boarding and growth of existing customers.”
ScanSource has additionally realigned the management structure of the sales team following Mr Gregoire’s and Mr van Rijn’s appointments to enhance its focus across all regions. Reporting to Mr Gregoire will be two Regional Business Directors each responsible for a team of Business Development Managers: Emma Edwards for the UK & Ireland; Frank Willemse for the Benelux, DACH and Nordics regions; while Mr Gregoire will retain responsibility for Southern Europe until an appointment is made. Also reporting to Mr Gregoire will be newly appointed Inside Sales Director Viktoria Zelenska, who will be managing ScanSource’s European POS & Barcoding team of Account Managers that will be divided over four regions.
ScanSource Europe teams of Account Managers are highly trained and dedicated to Auto ID, EPoS and mobility technology, while Business Development Managers are in-country experts with in-depth knowledge of the latest technologies, who work with resellers to share strategic information, introduce them to new verticals and explain how to diversify their offering in order to take better advantage of the business opportunities available to them.
