News of the appointments follows the recent announcement that RoadPilot has signed a three year data provision agreement with Nokia, which sees RoadPilot speed camera data offered as part of a combined traffic and speed camera alert application for Nokia Maps 3.0.
Recruits, Vincent Hayes and Alberto Monforte, join the British firm in the newly created roles of business development manager and business development director (Spain) respectively, and bring with them nearly 20 years’ experience in the mobile telecoms market.
In his new position, Hayes will oversee the development of RoadPilot’s mobile sector offering across Europe, including targeting the expansion of data supply agreements with leading handset manufacturers. Before joining RoadPilot, Hayes was business development manager at Trutap, a leading mobile social network firm, and prior to that spent several years at iTouch, now part of the Buongiorno Group, as head of sales and head of brands.
Monforte will oversee sales of RoadPilot’s mobile sector products in Spain, and will continue to develop negotiations with handset manufacturers in this key European market. His past experience in the telecoms sector includes time working with Vodafone and 4U Mobile (part of the Caudwell Group). Prior to that he was responsible for developing sales in the IT sector with Broadnet Consorcio and Acens.

Established in 2000, RoadPilot produced the world’s first GPS safety camera location device, and today its database stretches from Tromsø in Norway to Taranto in Italy, and from Lisbon, Portugal, to Lublin, in Poland.
