Business telecoms and IT services provider Rock Systems is on track for a record year and has appointed its first non-executive director to advise on its future growth plans.

Rock Systems, which was established by Dan Cunliffe (pictured right) in 2012, has recruited entrepreneur and business adviser Keith Robinson to its board as it targets revenues of £1m within two years.

Turnover for the year to September 30 is on course to reach £650,000, a rise of 20 per cent from £542,000 in the previous 12 months.

The company, based in Newton-le-Willows on Merseyside, provides IT support and telecoms to businesses across the UK, including broadband, voice, mobile and cloud services.

Clients include Enterprise Ventures, Tyres On The Drive and Burtonwood Generator & Switchgear Services.

Rock Systems has five staff and expects to add to its team over the next few months in line with its growth.

Keith is an experienced adviser to growing small and medium-sized enterprises and has supported Rock Systems for two years via his north west consultancy Griffin Partners, through its business development programme for small firms.

He said: “In a short time, Rock Systems has grown rapidly with a reputation for excellent customer service and first-class support.

“Having helped the business achieve its initial growth aspirations, I am now ready to help take it to the next level.

“Rock Systems has a great platform and infrastructure to move forward even more successfully. Dan has great technical expertise and business acumen, and has built a strong team around him.

“The business operates in a dynamic market with plenty of consolidation opportunities, and I am confident it can become a serious player in the north west and beyond.

“As well as advising on its growth strategy and strategic plans, we will also be looking at potential acquisitions.”

Dan, 30, said: “We are delighted to have Keith on board to continue to provide strategic direction and support as we embark on the next stage of our journey.”
