Rocom is celebrating the success of their latest NEC webinar with the “UCB – All-in-One Unified Comms from NEC” event held on June 2nd. Lasting 40 minutes, the webinar gave a brief overview of the benefits of UCB, and was well received by resellers.
UCB represents a “true” Unified Comms solution, bringing all the methods of employee communication onto one appliance, using one application and with one administrator. The webinar showed how this powerful range of comms enhancing software could provide new opportunities for resellers. Features of the system include presence monitoring; call management and integration with Microsoft Outlook – giving users a familiar environment in which to work. UCB is also highly adaptable and straight forward for resellers to tailor to end-user requirements.
The UCB event is the latest in a series of successful webinars held by Rocom and NEC. Other topics covered so far include the XN120 system, an introduction to the Univerge SV8100 system and NEC Business Mobility solutions (including IP DECT). Each webinar gives resellers a clear and concise overview with Q & A opportunities as the presentations progress.
Andy Clark, NEC Channel Manager at Rocom, presented at all the events and confirmed: “Webinars are a great way of interacting with our reseller base. No time is wasted travelling, and by restricting the agenda to 40 minutes, we don’t take up too much time either. We’ve been particularly pleased with the amount of non-NEC resellers who have attended the events.”
Simon Hughes, Dealer Account Manager at NEC says webinars are especially useful for communicating new product developments quickly to a large audience, without the need for organising a conventional roadshow and asking people to travel. “ We’re already planning a future event to discuss new developments to our MyCalls package which will be announced shortly,” he stated.
