Speaking on his appointment, Roy Pierce said, “I welcome the opportunity to join the Board during a time where the Business Radio sector in the UK is experiencing many challenges associated with technology and regulation. FCS is the UK’s representative body for Business Radio and, as the interests of radio converge with telephony and other sectors within FCS, we can provide a unique platform to address the challenges of convergence and competition.”
In welcoming Roy onto the Board, FCS chairman Adrian Grilli said, “Roy brings a wealth of experience from the Business Radio industry, the founding sector of the Federation. The industry is experiencing resurgent growth stimulated by a new range of digital technologies and new market entrants.
