Ruckus Wireless today announced that its popular ZoneFlex line Smart Wireless LAN (WLAN) products will now include a lifetime warranty to maximise and protect customer investment in its equipment while ensuring one of the highest levels of quality and reliability for wireless LANs.
“We want to take the worry out of Wi-Fi,” said Bart Burstein, VP of product management at Ruckus Wireless. “Enterprises have been burned once too often by over-zealous vendor claims and promises of reliability. Our history of building carrier-class products, which are among the most dependable Wi-Fi systems ever developed, allows us to extend this reliability to enterprises in a very real and meaningful way.”
The new lifetime warranty ensures that Ruckus ZoneFlex Smart Wireless LAN indoor products will be free from defects in materials and workmanship and will operate in accordance with product documentation. The lifetime warranty covers both hardware and software defects, and the hardware coverage is for as long as the original customer owns the products.
In the event of a defect, Ruckus Wireless will have the option to replace or modify the product. If Ruckus Wireless is unable to repair, replace or correct the problem, the company will refund the full price paid to the original purchaser.
The lifetime warranty complements existing Ruckus support offerings that include Software and Premium Support.
Premium Support delivers access to an online knowledge base, complete documentation and user forums with support professionals available by phone, e-mail, web support user forums.
Software and Premium Support customers receive access to software upgrades for the products they purchased. Premium Support customers are invited to participate in Beta programs and are also entitled to advanced hardware replacement if required.
Software Support customers receive upgrades as well as bug fixes to the software accompanying the applicable hardware purchased.
