Ruddle Merz chooses Timico for all its IT Solutions

Ruddle Merz, one of the UK’s leading business rates surveying practices based in Oakham, has grown rapidly over the last few years, and as a result they needed an IT infrastructure to aid their expansion plans. Timico Group, a Newark based business-only ISP and unified communications service provider, were able to provide a suite of solutions to Ruddle Merz to enable them to make the transition from an unsecure, less resilient IT infrastructure to a fully secure, flexible and scalable network.

“We needed a business ISP that could provide all of the services we were looking for plus the class of service (CoS) or quality of service (QoS) we required. We turned to Timico who are experts in their field of helping businesses like ours. The project of installing a complete range of managed solutions and services, including IT support, hosted VoIP and bonded broadband into the business was managed extremely efficiently,” says Marcus Cole, IT Operations Manager at Ruddle Merz.

The project was completed over a number of phases, with the most recent installation being a fully virtualised network infrastructure and virtual storage. This provides Ruddle Merz an enhanced Disaster Recovery solution, through underground fibre linking their Oakham office to their satellite DR office. The extra bandwidth means that if a fire, flood or burglary occurs at Ruddle Merz’s head office, all data is secure and replicated in real-time in their satellite office to ensure business activities continue as normal.
