Samsung launches new range of Bluetooth headsets

Samsung Electronics, a mobile phone provider, has announced new introductions to its UK portfolio of stylish, Class 2 Bluetooth headsets. The new range are priced from under £30 to around £50.

For the first time, the new range includes headsets designed to have a similar look and feel to popular Samsung handsets, including the recently released Samsung Monte and the hotly anticipated Samsung Wave, which is due to launch this summer.

The Samsung HM1600 Monte Bluetooth headset features Bluetooth Version 2.1, advanced multipoint technology, microphone noise reduction, automatic volume control and Active Pairing. The Samsung HM3200 headset has been designed to complement the Samsung Wave, which will be the first mobile phone to be released on Samsung’s open mobile platform Bada later this summer. The complementary headset boasts advanced multipoint technology which can be used to simultaneously connect with 2 mobile phones.

Both headsets will be available in the UK, the HM1600 from May and the HM3200 from June and include: Bluetooth Version 2.1 / Class 2 – which helps boost battery life, offers enhanced security and automatic pairing once the devices have been synced; Noise reduction - which allows for call clarity; Battery level check; Excellent talk time - the HM1600 (6 hours) and the HM3200 (4.5 hours).

ENTRY LEVEL (under £30)

Samsung HM1000

The HM1000 from Samsung is a Bluetooth headset that offers a hands free solution whilst on the move. The HM1000 also boasts auto volume control, meaning it automatically adjusts the volume in accordance to the level of ambient noise within your environment. Thanks to its 7 hours of talk-time and 400 hours of standby time – you can be out for almost a full day without needing to charge the headset.

The Samsung HM1000 will be available in the UK during May 2010.

Samsung WEP495

The WEP495 has been designed to match the hugely popular Samsung Genio range of handsets and have a colourful ergonomic design. The headset comes in pink, orange, yellow, black or white and includes a Wind Noise Reduction technology to eliminate wind noise during calls and a battery level check, so you never run out of battery unexpectedly. The WEP495 will pair automatically with your mobile phone when you switch the headset on without the need to input pin codes and offers up to 6 hours talk time.

The Samsung HM1500

The Samsung HM1500 is an entry level clip-on headset with fixed canal earphone. This makes it ideal for use whilst wearing glasses or a helmet. It comes with a built-in vibrating alert, microphone, noise reduction, auto volume control and up to 6 hours talk time. All the things you would expect from a high-end headset but at an affordable price.

MID LEVEL (£30 - £50)

HM3100

The Samsung HM3100 has been designed to match the eagerly anticipated Galaxy S device released at the end of May. With up to 5 hours talk time, active volume control, noise and echo cancellation, this headset is the perfect partner for any Bluetooth version 2.1 handset

Samsung HF1000

The simple and minimal design of the Samsung HF1000 fits perfectly in your car and clips straight onto your sun visor for a sleek, clutter-free look. Samsung WEP570

HIGH END (£50+)

HM3500

The Samsung Modus HM3500 featuring a sleek and stylish fluid design, is intended for people looking for a conventional noise-cancelling Bluetooth headset with the capability to stream stereo audio.
