Samsung Network Division Teams up with Gamma Telecom

In a move aimed at helping their channel partners take advantage of what will no doubt become one of the most significant developments in the IP convergence arena, Samsung Network Division have successfully undertaken a series of extensive inter-working tests between the award winning OfficeServ 7000 range of IP-PBX’s and Gamma Telecom’s SIP trunking service - IP DirectConnect.

IP DirectConnect is one of the first true IP transit services on the market and Samsung OfficeServ 7000 customers can now directly connect into the national UK Gamma network using an IP backbone enabling them to have full PSTN connectivity.

Commenting on the development, Julian Barnes, UK Channel Director at Samsung stated. “We are very pleased to have teamed up with Gamma to be able to offer our partners a potential new revenue stream that they may not have considered previously.

By combining the strengths of the OfficeServ 7000 with the SIP trunking offered by Gamma, our channel partners can now offer a more bundled solution to their customers incorporating both the hardware and applications of the OfficeServ with the SIP trunking from Gamma. The customer gets a one-stop-shop and the Reseller gets an additional sales opportunity. This initiative further endorses the convergence we are seeing in the market and we are proud to be at the forefront of that convergence.”

Commenting on behalf of Gamma Telecom, Richard Bligh, Marketing Director “We are delighted to have teamed up with such a recognized brand name as Samsung in order to demonstrate the strengths and benefits of our SIP trunking service. By supporting Samsung, we will enable their channel partners to take advantage of IP DirectConnect and so increase their revenue earning potential. In addition to full PSTN connectivity, customers can take advantage of lower call costs and an application that is scaleable on a per channel basis.”
