ScanSource Communications Europe is helping their channel partners to profitably grow their business with the formation of a new team under the direction of Jim Robertson, who has taken on the role of Business Development Director for the Egham based distributor.
Robertson says that resellers will continue to receive an enhanced level of service from ScanSource with existing account managers now being office based and always available at the end of a phone, whilst the new team of Business Development Managers will be field based and helping resellers to generate new and incremental business.
“In Kay Booth and Damian Joseph we have appointed two very experienced Business Development Managers with more than 20 years channel experience between them. Kay has joined ScanSource from Niman’s, whilst Damian was previously at Avaya, where he built extensive experience in the Enterprise and Mid Markets. This, in conjunction with Catalyst (ScanSource’s Avaya sales division in North America) and the recent acquisition of Algol in Germany, makes ScanSource an ideal partner for resellers that sell in either the SME or the Mid and large Enterprise space.
Their task will be to help our resellers grow their businesses through implementation of marketing plans and programs. In addition, they will be helping resellers with vendor initiatives; for example, the new Avaya Connect program and the implementation of salesforce.com, which will help simplify processes throughout our channel.”
Robertson concludes, “Our product portfolio is highly tuned to the needs of a reseller working in the world of voice and data convergence and now, with the Business Development team representing a constituent part of our channel program, we have further demonstrated the far reaching range of resources that ScanSource can bring to the whole channel.”
