Through this new cloud program, ScanSource Communications can provide its reseller partners with new cloud-based solutions that provide a more cost-effective, reliable and secure communications environment.
These new cloud solutions are true subscription-based, cost per-user per-month, license models to be deployed in a hosted data centre, allowing the flexibility to scale up or scale down users and features. Virtual1 has been selected to be ScanSource’s data center partner as a channel-only wholesaler.
“We recognised that many of our resellers were looking at alternative solutions to our on-premises systems as a number of their end-user customers have now adopted a cloud-based strategy. We have responded to this market change by establishing our cloud solutions for voice as well as video. We are looking forward to continuing to work with our resellers to help them find the appropriate solution for the end user,” said Paul Emery, director of technical and services, ScanSource Communications Europe.
The UK is the first market to launch new Cloud solutions under VaaS-t. The first hosted solution, powered by Unify’s OpenScape Business system, will be launched on the 12-13 April.
