Sennheiser creates UC Sales role to support channel

Unified Comms
Sennheiser Communications has appointed Ewan Stephenson as Unified Communications Sales Manager. In his new role Ewan will support sales for headsets through Sennheiser distributor partners and their resellers. Prior to joining Sennheiser, Ewan was Senior Business Support Manager for British Telecom for six years.

With a strong emphasis on multi-vendor interoperability Sennheiser business headsets offer integration with a range of UC solutions from leading providers including Microsoft Lync, IBM, Aastra, Siemens, Cisco and Avaya. Ewan will work with Sennheiser distribution partners Nimans, Corptel UK, Go2, Westcoast and Neowave to support Sennheiser headset sales in UC applications.

Sennheiser can offer the channel UC optimised headsets for both wireless and wired applications, such as the DW wireless series and Culture wired series providing integration with UC solutions. Ewan will be able to advise on the many advantages that are offered by professional grade headsets and the importance of choosing a headset that has been optimised for use with the communications device of choice.

For Sennheiser UK, Jane Craven, Director of Sales commented, “The creation of a specialist UC sales role and Ewan’s appointment demonstrate Sennheiser’s commitment to this critical area of development for the telecoms industry. As the adoption of hosted UC clients has increased, so in turn have headset attach rates with users increasingly migrating from the desk phone to VoIP soft clients on their terminal of choice: notebook, tablet or other device. As many of these devices do not however provide adequate levels of privacy or clarity for voice communication, headsets can deliver true business efficiency advantages. Ewan’s experience will allow us to support our distributors and their resellers in delivering the right UC solution for customer needs.”
