Distributor Nimans hosted a successful James Bond theme night as part of an internal Avaya sales promotion where the star of the night was a £100,000 luxury motor. More than 30 members of staff ‘dressed to impress’ and converged at a swanky Manchester bar at the end of a three month campaign when sales rose by 35%.
The overall winner of the initiative was Field Sales Executive Damian Silkstone whose prize included being chauffer driven to the venue in an Aston Martin car, a modern day icon of Bond films. Damian also had the chance to drive the DB9 which accelerates from 0-60mph in 4.5 seconds and has a top speed of 200mph. Damian confirmed: “It was a fantastic experience to drive the car although I can assure everyone that I kept to the speed limit even though it was tempting not to.”
Nimans’ Avaya Business Manager, Tim Freeth said the promotion coincided with the division’s best quarter of the year. He presented a series of awards recognising the achievements of staff both during the promotion and throughout the year.
