Sharedband Unlocks Broadband at Speeds up to 80Mb

Sharedband has launched its managed service direct to the UK business market

The company provides two simple packages for businesses that have a requirement to increase their broadband speed/bandwidth. From as little as £10 per month per line for the professional package or £20 per month per line for the business package. Shareband adds that businesses anywhere in the UK will be able to benefit from the service and bond lines together in order to achieve two, three or four times the speed of a single line both on the downstream and the upstream.

Sharedband software is installed on modems terminating up to four separate connections and aggregates the total capacity of all of them into a single, high-speed link. Where the highest speeds of ADSL2+ are available this can be as much as 80Mb. Sharedband also aggregates the upload speed to enable an effective range of business applications such as video, virtual private networks or Voice over IP. The technology will work with lines from different Internet Service Providers as it is a software solution that is independent of the underlying infrastructure.

In the UK the Sharedband service is also being delivered to businesses by a number of Sharedband Partners including AB Internet, KeConnect, Solutions and Talk Internet plus their associated resellers.

A key factor in the choice of Sharedband by businesses is that it is not only fast but it is resilient, still providing service when connections go down.

PC Solutions in Blackpool has been a Sharedband customer for over 12 months. The owner, Russ Coward says “Sharedband has been of enormous benefit to my business as it delivers consistently strong speeds at a much cheaper price than any of the alternatives. It is very reliable, maintaining a connection even when one of my lines failed. VoIP has been very easy to set up and the voice quality is excellent. With the onset of the recession, the Sharedband service will be of outstanding value to businesses everywhere, with the added bonus that you don’t have to wait for fibre, Sharedband is available right now.”

Sharedband can be used to bond any combination of ADSL, ADSL2+, SDSL, VDSL, cable, leased lines and cellular connections. This enables even greater resilience to be achieved, particularly for critical business applications
