Shoretel Extends Portfolio of Collaboration Solutions

IP PBX vendor ShoreTel has announced the Shoretel IP 8000, an IP conference phone the company says delivers extraordinary audio quality and double the room coverage of legacy conference phones.

Software-based and remotely programmable, the device features a keypad and display that facilitate the addition of call participants through the simple touch of a button. Its three-way local conferencing capabilities permit users to host ad-hoc conferences without consuming PBX or audio bridge resources.

The phone is SIP-compliant IP 8000 and integrates seamlessly with Shoretel’s suite of IP telephony solutions, giving customers access to system features.

Shoretel say the self-contained IP 8000 shares similar pricing, £740.00, with competing base units that require expensive add-ons for optimal performance.

“With the release of the ShoreTel IP 8000, ShoreTel becomes a one-stop-shop for enterprises in search of leading IP telephony and conference phone solutions,” said Steve Timmerman, vice president of marketing at ShoreTel. “We are proud to extend our suite of telephony solutions with this product that targets collaboration and productivity gains through improved communications.”
