ShoreTel today announced its new customer, The Kirby Group, an Irish multi-disciplinary engineering services contractor, is saving upwards of €15,000 a year with its flexible UC solution. A robust communications system is critical to The Kirby Group’s plans to expand in Europe for improved collaboration with colleagues, customers and prospects.
Through Phone Pulse, a telephony solutions specialist, The Kirby Group selected ShoreTel’s technology for its modern features, centrally managed infrastructure, ability to support mobile working, and its redundancy option. The installation was completed in just one and half weeks with zero downtime or disruption to operations and no interruption to call flow.
Adrian Harte, IT manager, The Kirby Group, said, “We’ve rolled out a full ShoreTel VoIP solution to enhance our inter-branch communications and increase staff productivity. It was absolutely critical for us to reduce our legacy line rental expenditure and above all, to future-proof our business. We have a fantastic connection between our offices, and improved collaboration. On top of that, the value for money has been too much to ignore.”
“Coupled with productivity savings which are harder to quantify, this has been a great investment for the company. This UC system is not something we want to revisit in two or three years. It is a 10-year solution. It is much more than our people coming in on a Monday morning to find a new phone sitting on their desk. The ShoreTel solution is a new way of communicating and has enabled us to extend the range in which we carry out business,” added Adrian.
Barry Dillon, regional sales director, ShoreTel, commented, “With our ethos around flexibility and choice, we have been able to fully address The Kirby Group’s set of complex business requirements. This frees the company up to focus their energy and resources on continued growth and capturing the European market.”
