Siemens' Channel Partners ‘Go for it’ in Sun City

Last month 40 of Siemens global partners travelled to Sun City, South Africa, for the first Siemens Global Partner Incentive trip. Qualification criteria for the trip was based on sales performance in 2005/06 and was percentage based so smaller partners could compete with larger reseller operations.

There were four UK qualifiers for the trip, Azzuri Communications, integra ict (formally Anglia Telecom), DataSharp and Nimans.

The event took place from the 16th to the 22nd of January 2008 and included four nights at the "Palace of the Lost City", widely recognized as one of the leading hotels of the world. This is the first Siemens global incentive trip under the "Go for it" global partner programme banner, and had representation from 20 countries. Activities included multiple safaris, helicopter tours, water sports on a private lake and golf at a crocodile inhabited course. A Siemens Enterprise Communications hosted Gala dinner took place on the 20th of January and aimed to raise funds for local community projects in the Sun City area.

Leon Mangan, sales director indirect channel who attended the event commented, "With forty partners representing 20 countries this event had a truly global feel. I was proud to represent the UK indirect channel and to reward our four partners who had qualified by delivering outstanding results in 2005/06. Our global partner programme, Go Forward!, has been received very positively by our channel partners, and the annual partner incentive trip will be a permanent fixture and provides the perfect platform to reward our partners that have delivered significant growth of the year."

All Siemens UK channel partners have the ability to qualify for the next global incentive trip which is set for January 2009 in the Caribbean.
