Siemens Target the Mid-Market with Channel Backing

Over 80% of Siemens Enterprise Communications’ channel partners gave a clear vote of confidence in the company’s commitment to working with partners to drive a mid-market push at the GoForward!Live! channel conference held last week.

Hosted in Stratford-Upon-Avon, the one day event saw over 150 delegates from the Siemens Enterprise Communications partner community assemble to gain further understanding of the company’s strong commitment to the channel, learn about the exciting new additions to the indirect portfolio and the opportunities these present to its partners.

The strong endorsement of the Siemens Enterprise Communications channel strategy and mid-market push came through a live poll of attending delegates at the event. Core findings include:

An overwhelming 80% voted that they would propose Siemens for a mid-market (250-1000 employees) opportunity

The delegates predict that Siemens’ latest proposition will prove to be a strong contender in the mid-market alongside Avaya (36%) and Cisco (32%) offerings.

Commenting on the event and the poll results, director of indirect channel at Siemens Enterprise Communications, Leon Mangan stated that: “We are delighted to see that the channel has strongly endorsed and has confidence in our mid-market proposition and in particular, its strength against the competition. We are the established market leader in above 1000 line IP deployments (MZA) in the UK and we are excited to bring our enterprise experience and success into the mid-market with OpenScape Xpress and OpenScape Office v3.”

Ian Allmark, director, Lloyds Business IP, comments: “We can’t wait to get moving with OpenScape Office LX v3. Since there is no user limit, it offers a major step along the path to a fully integrated, software-based unified communications offering for the sub-1000 market. We are also very impressed with the functionality, fast deployment time and fit of OpenScape Xpress - it takes us up a notch in functionality for the mid-market user. We have had significant wins in this market and have realised the enterprise quality level of Xpress.

“This latest version of OpenScape Office really gives us a big opportunity to move towards the mid-market, where we are seeing high growth; this will be a challenge but it’s exactly where we want to go. Today’s Siemens Enterprise Communications portfolio is arguably in the best place it has been for a while.”
